There are a number of exciting efforts to bring innovative energy solutions to every community in Georgia. Please see below for a few programs that help residential or commercial customers save energy and money through solar and energy efficiency.
Georgia BRIGHT is a federally funded program that is designed to bring the benefits of solar energy to low-income and disadvantaged communities that have historically had less access to clean energy. Georgia BRIGHT allows homeowners to install solar at no upfront cost and save on their energy bills the very first month.
Commercial property owners can save energy and money through the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (CPACE) program. Property owners can choose from hundreds of eligible building improvements, ranging from windows and doors to roofing, to solar panel arrays and HVAC units.
Farmers and rural businesses can apply for federal grants and loan guarantees to invest in renewable energy or energy efficiency through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).
Not every home is a good fit for solar. Fortunately there are still lots of ways to save energy and money through energy efficiency upgrades. Georgia’s Home Energy Rebates provide incentives on the purchase and installation of electric appliances, insulation, air sealing, HVAC, and other home improvement measures.
